Munakata Bethel Christian Center Japan Project
The Little Chapel is starting a campaign this holiday season asking people to consider giving a "gift" to help out our sister church in Munakata, Japan. We are praying in faith to be able to give the full amount to help them with this work project need, but we need YOUR help! Below is a write up from our missionaries on the project as well as a link to be able to give towards the campaign! We are praying to be able to raise enough funds before December 31st, 2025.
(All financial gifts will be given a tax write off form at the end of the year)

More Information about the project
This is Munakata Bethel Christian Center (MBCC) in Munakata City on the southern island of Kyushu, JAPAN. It was built debt-free in 1992 on leased property. The property was loaned to the church for twenty years with no monthly lease payments. The little over .25 acre of property was purchased debt-free in 2012.
In the 33 years the building has been standing it has been painted only twice, the original paint, plus once in 2010. It is in need of another painting before more roof, siding and moisture-rot damage sets in. The cement slate roofing needs to be repainted to avoid rain and moisture leakage. The above photo shows a resplendent-looking building, but it was taken many years ago and current damage cannot be seen.
The painters have presented a new paint that is stronger than any silicone paint on the market. It is called GAINA and is the same paint that is used to cover the National Aeronautics Space Administration’s (NASA) rockets and capsules when they travel into and return from space. When applied to roofs it lowers the building’s inside temperature from 3 to 6 degrees centigrade and lowers monthly electricity fees comparably. The estimators presented us with three estimates. The costs are markedly different, but so are the three choices. Since MBCC is God’s House (beth-el), we desire to be kept in the best possible condition as a testimony to Him and the city. We do not want to be found irresponsible in taking care of His house. We feel it best to go with the middle estimate.
A. All silicone (roof and siding) ¥2,530,000 or $16,630 @¥152 per USD
B. Roof only GAINA and siding silicone. ¥3,575,000 or $23,500 @¥152 per USD
C. All GAINA (roof and siding). ¥4,400,000 or $28,920 @¥152 per USD
MBCC is being honest about this need to see the House of God repaired before anymore damage to it occurs. We are reminded of the scripture in 2 Kings 12:4-5 ESV where Jehoash set out to repair the Temple. “ . . . the money that a man’s heart prompts him to bring into the house of the LORD, 5 let the priests take, each from his donor, and let them repair the house wherever any need of repairs is discovered.”
Please allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart. Perhaps He will prompt your heart to bring an offering for this need.

PS: The value of the U$Dollar-in Japan is very high right now. This is an ideal time for ANY stateside church or individual to give to Japan Missions.
